Hobart is not far away
Hobart may be located on the edge of the world but it does not feel that way. The city is actually only 1 hour's flight from Melbourne and less than 2 hours from Sydney. There are a number of lost cost airlines that connect Hobart with some of the capitals of mainland Australia.
